They drive a black GMC Denali tow truck. Their objective is to get your vehicle in their yard and not let you get it out. Then they charge your insurance company exorbitant "Storage fees". There is an article online from the CBC that tells a story regarding No Limit Roadside. You can read it here. Looks like the city did nothing to fix the problem. They towed my truck on 5 Feb. after I was involved in an accident. They have had my vehicle for 5 weeks. Apparently they're in negotiations. They, so far, have not agreed with the middleman on a ransom. This has to be done before I move forward.
We will be taking them to small claims court (at some point because things have taken a turn) and I will be posting what we do regarding the applications and steps involved, and posting the procedure as it moves forward. It’s not hard and it doesn’t cost much, about a hundred bucks to file and a couple more by the time you’re done. If you cannot afford it, the court can waive the fees in some circumstances. More information on fees and how to start a small claim in Ontario can be found here. We have a very strong case as it pertains to the Ontario Consumer Protection Act, 2002, S.O. 2002, Chapter 30 Schedule A Part 3 under Unfair Practices. I'm sure these guys know they're breaking the law, they just don't care. It was evident shortly after the accident when they came up and started soliciting. This is illegal and would not have been done had the police showed up. Then we get into Part 3 of the OCPA starting with, but not limited to, "False, misleading or deceptive representation". It's all in the 2002 OCPA. You can download a copy of the Ontario Consumer Protection Act at this website.

We'll see if the courts agree
